Eggplant

Each week I get an email that tells me all about Shiloh's development.  This week she is the size of an eggplant.  She is between 13.5-15 inches long and weighs about 1.5-2.2 pounds.  She is getting a little more fat on her and begining to look more like a newborn.  She also knows right side up from upside down which explains why she moves every time I move these days.  From here on out her job is to gain weight and develop strong lungs.  Her activity level has increased significantly.  I used to feel little bumps here and there.  Now she is knocking books off my tummy! I never thought the kicking would be that strong.  A little distracting when I am trying to study for my next Microbiology exam!  At night sometimes after a big meal I look down and my stomach is moving in big waves.  It facinates me.  15 weeks to go!

In other news, Stephen had decided to plant grass in the dead spots in our yard.  Sounds simple but not really.  I am learning all kinds of things about how to get grass to grow in this red Georgia dirt.  Apparently you have to till up the dead spots, lay topsoil, sprinkle seed, and throw some lime on top to balance the pH.  ALL FOR SOME GRASS!!!  He has worked so hard on this.  My fingers are crossed that this grass will grow.

This weekend is calling for some sunny weather and highs in the mid-80's.  You know what that means...BOAT TIME!  If we can get the "Pondtoon" dewinterized we will be spending the majority of the weekend on the lake.  I cannot wait!
